Who We Are
At Brushed by Freedom, we are dedicated to raising awareness about trafficking and supporting survivors as they reclaim their lives. Founded by Lexy Lehmkuhl, a survivor and artist, the organization uses art, storytelling, and education to shine a light on trafficking and inspire change.
Our mission is twofold: to empower survivors through creative opportunities that help them build sustainable, legal incomes, and to educate the public on the realities of trafficking and recovery. Through fundraisers like tattoo cover-ups and art promotion, we provide survivors with tools to heal while spreading awareness of their resilience and strength.
Brushed by Freedom aims to be a platform for advocacy, education, and transformation. Whether through survivor-created artwork, awareness talks, or community initiatives, we are committed to fostering understanding and hope in the fight against trafficking.
Our Mission
At Brushed by Freedom, our mission is to raise awareness about trafficking while empowering survivors to heal, rebuild, and thrive. Through art, education, and advocacy, we aim to shed light on the realities of trafficking and the resilience of those who have survived it.
By promoting artwork created by survivors, running impactful fundraisers, and sharing educational resources, we provide survivors with opportunities to build sustainable, legal incomes and reclaim their identities. At the same time, we strive to educate the public and inspire action, fostering a world where trafficking is better understood and ultimately eradicated.
Brushed by Freedom is committed to creating change—one story, one survivor, and one piece of art at a time.
